What is happening?
On Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 5 p.m., Dell Technicians will be replacing the System Board on DCP K: drive file server (DCP-FILE-02.ad.ufl.edu). The system will be shut down for a couple hours during this procedure.
Why is this happening?
Dell sent out a faulty replacement part, forcing us to install the original system board until another one can be shipped out.
How will this affect me?
From 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, users will not be able to access DCP file share K: drive.
What do I need to do?
Save any files you are currently working on. Log off your computer by 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 11. Users accessing the K: drive remotely will need to disconnect their VPN connection.
