Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) announced that Kristin Larsen, Director at the School of Landscape Architecture and Planning, completed the 2016 HERS Denver Summer Institute, June 13-25, 2016, along with 62 women leaders across the country.
“The numerous workshops considerably broadened my understanding of administration at the university level and will enhance my work in the School and College. Having the opportunity to receive the feedback from so many colleagues in academic leadership positions strengthened my proposal on faculty mentorship,” Larsen said.
For over 40 years, HERS has prepared women faculty and administrators for leadership roles in higher education. At one of the three HERS Institutes – HERS Denver, HERS Bryn Mawr, and HERS Wellesley – participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to lead change on their campus and positively affect higher education. The participants selected for this year’s HERS Denver cohort represent institutions across the U.S.
