Dear DCP Faculty and Staff:
Here’s an important update about our new phones. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Timeline
August 6 – 11 – New phones will be installed. Old phones will remain in place. During this period either phone is usable, but we encourage you to begin to use your new phone immediately. As each phone is installed, your office manager will be changing your UF directory information so it will accurately reflect your new phone number. Simultaneously, Brent Ferraro will be changing your phone number as listed on the DCP website.
August 18 – This will be the last day to retrieve voicemails from your old phone. As of the start of business on Tuesday, August 19th, your old phone will no longer be serviceable and it will be collected by a staff member to be sent back to Telecommunications.
Main Phone Numbers
The following main numbers will be retained. The office manager in each unit will be recording a message as below that will direct the caller to the staff directory:
392-4836 College of Design, Construction and Planning
392-0205 School of Architecture
392-0252 Department of Interior Design
392-0997/392-6098 School of Landscape Architecture and Planning
“Thank you for calling the (unit name). We have recently upgraded our phone system and the individual numbers for faculty and staff have changed. To reach the directory please press the pound sign, to reach an operator please press zero.”
When your new phone is installed, we will leave an FAQ beside it with your new number clearly indicated. This FAQ will summarize the capabilities of your new phone. For more detailed information about its capabilities, please see the detailed description attached.
Directory of College Phone Numbers
We are updating the pdf directory of college phone numbers. It’s going through one last check and will be sent to all DCP faculty and staff in the next few days. This will also be hyperlinked on our website.
Business Cards
Please contact your office manager about new business cards. In many cases they’ve already been ordered, but please check with them to find out the status.
Thanks very much for your patience with this challenging change over.
